Comments to the map of tram routes of city of Kazan:

1) The Saet-Ghaeliyev St.(Säet-Ğäliyev uramı - Said-Galeyeva) tram stop (routes # 1,9,14) & the Main Railway Terminal tram stop (routes # 2,4,7,20,21) are at the same place, near the Main Railway Terminal platforms (suburban train platforms)
2) Trams of the route # 2 have a stop Financial Institute (Finans İnstitutı - Finansovyy institut) en route to Tuqay Sq. (Tuqay mäydanı - Ploschad' Tukaya) only
3) Trams of the routes # 5,8,12,18,20 have a stop Gogol St. (Gogol uramı - Gogolya) en route to Yershov St. (Yerşov uramı - Yershova) only
4) Informal name of the Tuqay Sq. (Tuqay mäydanı - Ploschad' Tukaya) tram stop is Koltso (Loop).
5) Informal name of the Ghaeliaesghaer Kamal’s Theatre (Ğäliäsğär Kamal isemendäge teatere - Teatr Galiaskara Kamala) tram stop is Kirova (Kirov St.)

23) Informal name of the Square of Glory (Dan skverı - Skver Slavy) & Victory Ave. (Ciñü prospektı - Prospekt Pobedy) tram stops are Privolzhskiy rynok (İdel Buyı rayon bazarı)
24) The Spartacus St. (Spartacus uramı - Spartakovskaya) tram stop & the Gas St. (Gaz uramı - Gazovaya) are different, but informal name of the Spartacus St. tram stop is Gazovaya. This name is used only when driver call the end of route.
25) There are two different tram stops called the Safiullin St. (Safiullin uramı - Safiullina): the first at the Gabishev (Ğäbişev) St., the second at the Victory Ave.
26) There are excursion trams in Kazan (РВЗ-6М2). Routes: "River Port (Yılğa Portı - Rechnoy Port) - Gorky Park (Gorki parkı - Park Gor'kogo)" & "Main Railway Terminal (Vokzal) - Gorky Park ( Gorkiy parkı - Park Gor'kogo)" 
27) There is dining-car on the basis РВЗ-6М2 in Kazan. In the menu there are dishes of Tatar, Russian and Armenian galley. Route "River Port (Yılğa Portı - Rechnoy Port) - Gorky Park ( Gorkiy parkı - Park Gor'kogo)". The day parks near the Gorky Park.

Comments to the track map

Conventional sign to the scheme

1) The Main Railway Terminal loop is too complicated to be shown on the map. For a deteiled view click here.
2) There are two disused track under the catenary connected to the main line. (Near Main Railway Terminal loop).
3) The Xalitov St. (Xalitov uramı - Khalitova) loop is comprised of two loops in two levels.
4) The Building Institute (Tözüçelär İnstitutı - Stroitel'nyy Institut) (route # 2) is a trangle. (Y-type)
5) Former triangle next to the Fabrikalı - Fabrichnaya stop (routes #3, 8, 23) allowed cars from both directs to make a U-turn. The triangle was removed after the track repair of 1999 - 2000 years. Interestingly, the overhead exist for one more year.
6) Interesting bridge. This bridge isn't used by transport (Gavrilov St. - Gavrilov uramı - Gavrilova - routes # 13, 14, 17, 19, 20, 21)
7) There is a platform on the bridge, what's not used by trams. (Olonets St. - routes # 19, 20, 21).
8) The Korolenko St. loop is located under the bridge over İbrahimov Ave. Trams of the thru routes use the aforementioned bridge.
9) At the beginning of Tuqay St. (Central Market (Kolkhoznyy Rynok - Kolxoz Bazarı) stop, routes # 2, 4, 7, 20, 21) tracks are placed in the market place. Tram runs is deteriorated by the crowds of people at this place. Next door, on Uxtomski St. (shown in green on the map) trams run on boulevard on both side of the green area.
10) At the 5th of October the Ostrovski St. loop was destroyed, because there was autobahn build on the embankment of Bolaq channel. This way is the last destroyed in Kazan tram way. Some information about history of this loop you may find  here.
